Danny has been a US Coast Guard licensed charter capt. since 1977. And as a 2nd generation Florida Keys charter guide, Danny has learned and mastered the many varieties of fishing that the Keys have to offer. Danny prides himself in giving you a great day on the water and fishing that you, and your friends/family will not forget.

Being a family man himself, Danny enjoys fishing with family groups and kids of all ages. His father, Stanly became a fishing guide in 1956 and originated the first Blue Waters Sportfishing Charters. His Mother Marty and two sisters, Sandie and Jodie, helped run the family charter business for nearly 30 years.

Danny moved on to fishing and travelling on several of the top "corporation" sportfishing boats as a mate and captain. He has won the Bahamas Championship and many other billfish, sailfish, dolphin and tarpon tournaments throughout the Florida Keys and hot spots in St. Thomas, Venezuela, the Bahamas and the U.S. Virgin Islands as well as many fishing ports along the east and west coasts of Florida.

Capt. Danny Strub has been featured in the Florida Sportsman magazine, the Saltwater Sportsman magazine, the In-Fisherman magazine and many fly fishing publications. His television appearances have been on Mark Sosin's Saltwater Journal, the TNN In-Fisherman show and an ESPN Outdoors Fishing Documentary.

Danny now fishes year 'round and lives in Marathon with his wife Leta.
